This beautiful Tibetan Chemar Bo is a cultural treasure that brings the essence of Tibetan tradition into your home. Handcrafted with precision from wood, this unique vessel is adorned with intricate carvings depicting the revered Tibetan 8 auspicious signs, each lovingly hand-painted.

At 38cm wide, 28cm tall, and 14cm broad, this artisanal masterpiece weighs approximately 750g, making it a substantial and visually stunning addition to your collection. Embodying the spirit of Losar, the Tibetan New Year, the Chemar Bo is a symbol of prosperity and goodwill.

Traditionally divided into two halves, the left side holds roasted barley seeds or wheat, while the right side cradles Chemar – a delectable mixture of roasted barley flour (Tsampa), sugar, and butter. Following the Tibetan tradition of "Droso Chemar," this arrangement holds deep cultural significance. During Losar, guests are welcomed to take a Chemar. Guests or visitors usually take a pinch of the chemar and offer it with 3 waves of their hands and a tiny nibble, offering blessings and good luck with pure intentions, reciting a heartfelt wish for enlightenment and unity:

“Tashi Delek Phunsumtsok. Ama Bhadro Kunkham Sang. Tendu Dewa Thobar Sho. Dusang Tukyi Tatsoe Yanggyar Zomgyu Yongwa Sho”, which means “Blessings and good luck with a pure mind, heart and body. May all beings become enlightened. May we all be here next year and celebrate together.”
