White Tara Dolkar (Tibetan Dolkar, Sanskrit Sitatara) is one of the 21 Taras, a female, peaceful Bodhisattva of Tibetan Buddhism. She symbolizes transcendental perception and perfect purity, grants long life according to religious beliefs, and protects against disease. Her seven eyes symbolize supreme consciousness and her ability to see any suffering.

Lokta paper, known as rice paper, is made from the bark of Daphne Papyracea in Nepal. These plants are found in the forest of the Himalayas between the altitudes of 6500 ft to 9500 ft. The image white tara is printed by hand on handmade lokta paper.
